Tibetan mythology
Tibetan mythology comprises the traditional and religious stories of Tibet both pre-Buddhist and Buddhist.〔Yves Bonnefoy Asian Mythologies - 1993 Page 302 "These remarks indicate in barest outline the perspective in which the study of Tibetan mythology is approached here. We will not describe Tibetan religion in its entirety, whether in the Buddhist or the pre-Buddhist periods, but only certain mythological elements that appear in it, which one can assume to be indigenous, that is, not introduced by Buddhism."〕
